I finally decided it was time to sit down with my camera’s Users Guide. Holy crap, it’s 286 pages long! I’d pop in my earbuds and continue listening to one of my latest audiobooks, but I think I need to pay attention when reading this manual. Drat!
I must learn what this camera can do. There are so many items displayed on the view screen that my head swims trying to figure out what’s what. Just look at it!
As soon as I read the manual amazing things started to happen. I found a dial on it that I didn’t know was there (to the left of the viewfinder; it sharpens the image while looking through it). It’s technical name is diopter, but I like the simplicity of dial. Diopter is so…stuffy.
I learned my camera has an electronic level on it. Who knew?! (I would have had I read the manual previously, but I digress). This is my New Favorite Thing.
So 90 pages in I’m learning all sorts of crazy stuff about my camera. This is getting me excited again about owning it.
Day 21, getting it together.
